About

jules

I share with you the pain of this world, and the epidemic of mental health needs.  I draw upon my personal and professional journey that has been deeply touched by grief and trauma.  I have spent my time dedicated to this path, hoping to find answers and mostly discovering more questions.  I find great comfort in this now and enjoy sharing and learning with and about you, as well as the beauty in all the parts of nature that connect us.  I especially love dancing, poetry and spending time with cows.

I enjoy holding a space filled with hope to explore the edge of how wounds are a place to be honored. In this relational field, I have found that symptoms can come and go and that learning to tune into your own nature can allow for an expansive, spontaneous, creative and often humorous experience to trust in.

I have been practicing for about 30 years. I am a licensed clinical social worker (lcsw).  I have an undergraduate degree in psychology and masters in social work, reiki level 2 certification, 500 hour certified yoga teacher (cyt) (200 hour with Bo Forbes, advanced 300 hour Kripalu Ayurveda Yoga Specialist), and ongoing practices/studies with Yoganand Michael Carroll and Pranakryia Yoga, 650 hour Kripalu trained Ayurveda Health Counselor (ahc), continued learning with Vaidyagrama, Satsangam, Rajeshwari Gretchen Carmel, Jonathan Foust,  Celia Grand, as well as an immersive year long study and Certification in Global Mystical Religious Traditions with Andrew Harvey, Mirabai Starr, and Rev. Seifu Anil Singh- Molares.  â€‹

I have committedly worked during my lifetime across the life span with children, families, and individuals in the non-profit mental health field in residential programs, schools, community programs, mental health centers, program/policy design and consultation, affiliated models of care and this past year into an evolving private practice.  I have explored the intersection of many western models of therapy with body centered and spiritual traditions for healing.  I have a trauma-sensitive, artist approach that is informed by neuroscience. I now focus on integrating my training in the wisdom of the EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) modality that is enhanced with resourcing from polyvagal theory, DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy),  cognitive behavioral and motivational strategies, parts work,  meditation/ mindfulness/somatic and contemplative practices that respect depth psychology, attachment theories, yogic and ayurvedic philosophies, and the roots of shamanic and spiritual healing.

I am forever grateful for the direct and indirect guidance from my many teachers, family, organizations and heart based communities over the years; and especially for all of the clients that I have had the privilege to know.  In a time where things can often seem uncertain, having a place of refuge to pause is needed. I am committed to helping shift the conversation of how we all see each other and show up.  Intuition and mystery are an essential part in this dialogue that has long been silenced.  I hope you may join me.

This is life itself standing in front of you now.

A passage, creating space for sorrow and joy to rise up.

When fear takes the lead, let go of the leash.

Watch it run as your heart opens onto the path of love.
